- This carrier spends more than any insurance firm on advertising – some $1.6 billion (www.statistica.com, 1.14.21). Though there are some employed agents, there are no savings from going directly to the carrier. Far from it.
- Any savings are often due to a reduction in coverage, which doesn’t matter, until it does.
- The “bundling” they describe occurs with different companies, including Chubb, Homesite, Liberty Mutual and Travelers, not the carrier messaging the bundling; they pass on some of the savings that comes with a reduction in a tendency to shop insurance once lines are combined. Most carriers allow credits for bundling.
